Revving up to Relaunch!

Dear Friends,

You’ve been following our journey from funding shortfall to perseverance and sprinkles of good news. We hope that with this letter, we can finish the saga of our shortfall, announcing our biggest fundraiser to date, with a goal of $100,000 – an ask we don’t take lightly. If this fundraiser is successful, we will be able to rebuild.

Today marks the start of Found in Translation’s Relaunch 2024 campaign!

Behind the scenes, since March, our small team has worked tirelessly to stabilize, raising over $400,000 from supporters and funders who believe in the core of our mission and are committed to helping talented, low-income-earning, multilingual women become medical interpreters. In their new professions, they rewrite the trajectories of their careers and lives, and further language access in healthcare and other fields with their critical skills.

The aid of our supporters in this perilous time helped us to avert imminent shutdown. Next, our fundraising focus is on getting the Medical Interpreter Certificate training back up and running. An already selected class of interpreter-hopefuls are waiting for its return, and with this fundraiser we’ll be able to give them that chance.

Thanks to a generous donor, the next $30k will be matched dollar for dollar,
doubling your impact.
This means that $30k will get us more than halfway to our $100k goal!

In this trying time, we’ve witnessed your generosity and conviction as so many of you reached out with supportive messages and donations. We are grateful, humbled, and certain that as a community, we can achieve so much together.

If you have the means to support us financially, please consider making a donation at Relaunch 2024. If you cannot, know that your support and care for us will push us forward – please share our message and journey with your communities.

Thank you for considering us. Thank you for believing in us.

Let us secure this future together!

With gratitude,
The Found in Translation Team
