The Massachusetts Essentials for Childhood Initiative is a collective impact project and public- private partnership, funded by the CDC through August of 2023. This event is the fourth in a virtual series, honoring and spotlighting the work of organizations that are not focused explicitly on child welfare, and yet are doing work that promotes the five protective factors described and researched by the Center for the Study of Social Policy.

Other recipients of this award in 2021 include the Wampanoag Language Reclamation Project and the Mel King Institute.
