Celebrating our Class of 2019!

Found in Translation’s Class of 2019

On December 7th, Found in Translation held our annual Program Celebration for our most recent class – the Class of 2019! This annual event is the most anticipated event of the year – it is a time when we celebrate the great achievements of our students with the whole Found in Translation community. This special day marks the completion of our certificate program for our students, and the beginning of their new careers as professional medical interpreters!

Held for the first time at the Geological Lecture Hall within Harvard University, the event this year was well attended – with over 100 guests and community members present to support and celebrate our most recent program graduates.

Recognizing our Alumnae faculty

Our speaking program included remarks from board member Carolina Tejedor Meyers, executive director Maria Vertkin, and two program participants – Sulima Elballa (Class of 2019) and Natalia Chilcote (Class of 2013). This year we also celebrated the special accomplishments of our alumnae instructors, who now represent over 75% of our program faculty.

To view more photos of the event, see the album on our Facebook page. Stay tuned for video/text from each of our lovely speakers!

We are so proud of our Class of 2019!

Special thanks to our event sponsors for making the event possible: Classic Graphx, Trader Joe’s, Flour Bakery, and Feda Eid Photography.
