Found in Translation Honored as a 2026.ORG Impact Awards Finalist

Found in Translation is honored to have been named a finalist in the .ORG Impact Awards for the second year in a row! Public Interest Registry (PIR), the people behind the .ORG domain, recognizes outstanding mission-driven organizations from around the world for their positive contributions to society with these awards. Found in Translation was chosen from a diverse pool of over 4,000 applicants from 145 countries, and we are thrilled to be among 35 outstanding finalists! This year’s finalists represent the top five entries across seven award categories:

● Community Building
● Quality Education for All
● Environmental Stewardship
● Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
● Health and Healing
● Hunger and Poverty
● Rising Stars (leaders under 30 making a difference in their communities)

Found in Translation is a finalist in the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion category for our work training low-income, bilingual women to be medical interpreters, advancing health equity and promoting economic mobility in underserved communities. The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion category recognizes organizations doing work “breaking down barriers, amplifying underrepresented voices, and driving meaningful change that creates opportunities for all.”
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion has been at the core of Found in Translation over the past 15 years as we have worked to improve health equity, to create opportunity for bilingual women, and to improve accessibility and inclusion of communities with limited English proficiency (LEP). In the last year since we were 2025 finalists, Found in Translation has added two alumnae to our staff, increasing staff diversity and representation. We also launched a “DEI and Language Access” training series within our Language Access Fellowship program. While DEI continues to be attacked, Found in Translation is proud to be recognized for these values and our work in this area.

All finalists will receive donations of $2,500 USD. Found in Translation is also invited to Washington, D.C. for a celebration that includes opportunities to meet with other nonprofit leaders and culminates with the final award ceremony on October 6th.

Winners in these categories and the prestigious .ORG of the Year will be announced at the in-person .ORG Impact Awards celebration on October 6th. The winner of the .ORG of the Year award will receive a donation totaling $50,000 USD while the other category winners will each receive $10,000 USD. Beyond the donation, receiving a .ORG Impact Award helps raise the profile of winning organizations, ultimately driving donations, funding, talent acquisition,
partnership development, and increasing audience reach.
