Tips & Tricks
Room too crowded? Start in rooms at the bottom and go up, or maybe from the middle! Most attendees will go from top to bottom so you may have less of a crowd or even get some one-on-one time with a recruiter.
Cameras on, microphones muted. Seeing a face is a lot more memorable than a black screen with a name, and being muted means no chance of interrupting a potential employer!
Ready to take notes? This is an essential skill of any interpreter, and you don't want to be scrambling if you pick up some really interesting information or contacts!
Deliverables at the ready! Being well prepared makes for a good first impression, who knows if you'll need to bust out a link to a resume on short notice.
Start a dialogue—in the chat or by raising your virtual hand! You'll catch the attention of the vendor's hosts and contribute to a much-appreciated discussion. Hosts love non-disruptive interaction!
Good luck and enjoy the fair! We wish you all the best in your careers and endeavors.
